Where Music, Art and Spirituality Unite
Dr. Avnish Kumar, the founder of Shri Prannath Kala Sangam Foundation, established Shri PranNath Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in 2005, naming it after the second spiritual guru of his tradition, Mahamati Shri Pran Nath Ji. From 2005 to 2009, the institution operated without any formal recognition, and students enrolled there had to apply for diploma and degree examinations through other institutions. However, in 2009, the institution received official recognition from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. Since then, the institution has been conducting annual examinations in singing, instrumental music, dance, devotional music, and fine arts under the auspices of Prayag Sangeet Samiti, awarding diplomas and degrees ranging from Praveshika to Prabhakar.
Over the years, hundreds of students have received education at the institution, many of whom have secured employment and continue to serve society in various capacities.
Mahamati Pran Nath was one of the last great saints of medieval India, who founded the Pranami Sampradaya—a community inclusive of people from all religions. The essence of his teachings is compiled in the scripture Tartam Sagar. Shri Pran Nath Maharaj was also the spiritual guru of Maharaja Chhatrasal. It was under the guidance of Mahamati Shri Pran Nath in Vikram Samvat 1744 that Maharaja Chhatrasal was crowned. Pran Nath Ji served as Chhatrasal’s guide, spiritual mentor, and philosopher. Just as Chhatrapati Shivaji, under the expert guidance of Samarth Guru Ramdas, showcased his valor and strategic brilliance against the Mughals, Maharaja Chhatrasal, inspired by Satguru Shri Pran Nath Ji’s teachings, demonstrated his courage, strategic acumen, and skill to defeat foreign invaders.
Mahamati Shri Pran Nath Ji was honored with the title of “Mahamati” by his own guru, Swami Shri Dhani Devchandra Ji. Inspired by such a revered saint, Dr. Avneesh Kumar, the director and head of Shri Pran Nath Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, formally established the Shri Pran Nath Kala Sangam Foundation in Delhi on January 21, 2020, with the blessings of his spiritual mentors.
श्री प्राणनाथ कला संगम फाउंडेशन के संस्थापक डॉ अवनीश कुमार ने 2005 में अपनी आध्यात्मिक परंपरा के दूसरे गुरु महामति श्री प्राणनाथ जी के नाम से श्री प्राणनाथ संगीत महाविद्यालय की स्थापना की। यह विद्यालय 2005 से 2009 तक बिना किसी मान्यता के चलाया गया अर्थात विद्यालय में अध्ययनरत विद्यार्थियों को डिप्लोमा डिग्री हेतु अन्य विद्यालय से परीक्षा हेतु आवेदन कराया जाता था। 2009 में विद्यालय को प्रयाग संगीत समिति इलाहाबाद द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त हुई। तब से विद्यालय प्रतिवर्ष गायन, वादन, नृत्य, भाव संगीत व फाइन आर्ट्स की प्रयाग संगीत समिति द्वारा आयोजित परीक्षाएं कराता है एवं प्रतिभागी विद्यार्थियों को प्रवेशिका से प्रभाकर तक की डिग्री, डिप्लोमा प्रदान करता है। विद्यालय में सैकड़ो विद्यार्थियों ने शिक्षा ग्रहण की है जिनमें से कई विद्यार्थी रोजगार प्राप्त कर चुके हैं व समाज में सेवारत हैं।
महामति प्राणनाथ मध्ययुगीन भारत के अंतिम संतों में से एक थे। जिन्होंने प्रणामी संप्रदाय की स्थापना की। जिसमें सभी धर्म के लोग सम्मिलित हुए। उनकी वाणी का सार “तारतम सागर” नामक ग्रंथ में संकलित है। श्री प्राणनाथ महाराज छत्रसाल के गुरु थे। विक्रम संवत 1744 में महामति श्री प्राणनाथ के निर्देशन में ही छत्रसाल का राज्याभिषेक किया गया था। प्राणनाथ जी छत्रसाल के मार्गदर्शक, आध्यात्मिक गुरु और विचारक थे। जिस प्रकार समर्थ गुरु रामदास के कुशल निर्देशन में छत्रपति शिवाजी ने अपने पौरुष, पराक्रम और चातुर्य से मुगलों के छक्के छुड़ा दिए थे ठीक उसी प्रकार सतगुरु श्री प्राणनाथ जी के मार्गदर्शन में छत्रसाल ने अपनी वीरता, चातुर्य पूर्ण रणनीति और कौशल से विदेशियों को परास्त किया था।
ऐसे महान संत जिन्हें स्वयं उनके गुरु निजानंद स्वामी श्री धनी देवचंद्र जी ने महामति की शोभा दी, के नाम पर आधारित श्री प्राणनाथ संगीत महाविद्यालय के संचालक एवं केंद्राध्यक्ष डॉ अवनीश कुमार ने अपने गुरुओं के आशीर्वाद स्वरुप 21 जनवरी 2020 को दिल्ली में “श्री प्राणनाथ कला संगम फाउंडेशन” की विधिवत स्थापना की।

डॉ. अवनीश कुमार: संगीत और शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में अग्रणी
डॉ. अवनीश कुमार एक प्रख्यात संगीतज्ञ, शिक्षाविद और सांस्कृतिक नेता हैं, जिन्होंने भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत और ग़ज़ल गायन के प्रचार और संरक्षण में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया है। उन्होंने जीवाजी विश्वविद्यालय, ग्वालियर से वोकल म्यूजिक में पीएच.डी. की उपाधि प्राप्त की है। उनके शोध का विषय था, “ग़ज़ल गायकी के विकास एवं संवर्धन में उस्ताद अहमद हुसैन और उस्ताद मोहम्मद हुसैन के योगदान का विश्लेषणात्मक अध्ययन।”
19 वर्षों के उल्लेखनीय करियर के साथ, डॉ. कुमार विद्या भारती अखिल भारतीय शिक्षा संस्थान (दिल्ली प्रांत) के अंतर्गत पश्चिमी संगीत विभाग के प्रमुख के रूप में कार्यरत हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त, वे 18 वर्षों से संस्कार भारती, जो एक राष्ट्रीय कला और साहित्य संगठन है, से जुड़े हुए हैं और वर्तमान में दिल्ली प्रांत के संगीत समन्वयक के रूप में कार्यरत हैं।
डॉ. कुमार श्री प्राणनाथ कला संगम फाउंडेशन ट्रस्ट के संस्थापक हैं और श्री प्राणनाथ संगीत महाविद्यालय का संचालन करते हैं, जो भविष्य के संगीतकारों को तैयार करने वाला एक प्रमुख संस्थान है। इसके अलावा, वे सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार के अंतर्गत केंद्रीय फिल्म प्रमाणन बोर्ड के सलाहकार पैनल के सदस्य हैं।
